The lectures and workshops listed below are available on Zoom and for in person presentations.
In-person lectures may include a short slide show prior to a trunk show of real quilts. In-person workshops may include projection of close-up video for easy viewing of live demonstrations. Travel beyond 100 miles of Wakefield, RI will require booking at least two events, such as a lecture and a workshop.
Zoom Lectures will include a 45 minute PowerPoint slideshow followed by a Q&A session. Zoom Workshops will be a combination of PowerPoint presentation, pre-recorded demonstrations, live demos and one-on-one assistance. In most cases, workshops are limited to 20 students.

EPP vs. FPP: The Showdown!
English Paper Piecing or Foundation Paper Piecing? What's the difference? What are the pros and cons of each technique? Which technique is your favorite?
We will try to answer these questions as Tina shares dozens of quilts and many tips and tricks. Quilts from each technique will be pitted against each other and you will vote for your favorites.
At the end, we will tally up the votes and declare a winner!

Workshops
Limited to 20 students
Design Your Own English Paper Pieced Block
6 Hours, $700
Learn the basics of EPP and create your own unique 4" hexagonal block.
Instruction includes EPP geometry, color & design basics, fussy cutting, basting options, various hand piecing stitches, curved piecing, finishing options.
Class handout includes a bonus table runner pattern.
For in-person classes, $5 kit per student includes printed handouts and template pages. Zoom students will receive PDFs to print.
English Paper Piecing for Beginners
3 Hours, $400
English Paper Piecing is growing in popularity once again as quilters embrace slow stitching. EPP is portable and offers a great opportunity for fussy cutting.
Instruction will include printing your own templates, basting options, and invisible hand stitching. Templates will be provided to get you started.
Class materials include a pattern to complete a mug mat.
Improvisational English Paper Piecing
3 Hours, $400
Tina’s demo of her new technique for Improv EPP was a big hit during the Global Quilt Connection All Star Sampler Platter.
Instruction will include designing your own block using straight lines or curves, basting options, invisible hand stitching and finishing.
English Paper Piecing with Large Prints
6 Hours, $700
Learn how English Paper Pieced shapes can frame large motifs in unique ways.
Instruction will include designing your own frames to suit your focus fabric, basting options, invisible hand stitching, and applique.
$5 kit fee per student includes hexagon paper templates in two sizes.
Basics of Domestic Machine Quilting
6 hours, $700
This beginner-level class is for anyone who would like to start quilting their own tops on a domestic machine. Quilters with some machine quilting experience will enjoy the refresher and gain additional confidence to get their quilts finished. Tina will share her favorite tools, tips and tricks. Topics include basting, marking, straight line quilting with a walking foot, and free motion quilting designs. Tina will also demonstrate free motion ruler work.
Tiny Foundation Paper Pieced Lapel Pins or Magnets
3 Hours, $400
Patterns will be provided for an assortment of tiny, machine-stitched paper pieced blocks suitable for beginner to advanced piecers. Instruction will include how to paper piece tiny blocks and how to complete a lapel pin or magnet. Each student must purchase a $5 kit which includes finishing supplies for 2 pins or magnets.
